Obituary for Linda Ruth Apfel
Linda Ruth Apfel, age 64, of Rhinelander, died on January 6, 2020, at the Wausau Aspirus Hospital. She was born on May 31, 1955 in Rhinelander to Raymond and Lois (Deede) Miller. She attended schools in Rhinelander graduating from the RHS in 1974 and then attended beauty school in Wausau before returning to Rhinelander.
On August 2, 1988 she married Alfred "Al" Apfel and he preceded her in death in 2007.
Linda volunteered at the Zion Lutheran School for a number of years and then was employed by the St. Mary's Hospital in housekeeping from 1988 until 1994.
She was a lifelong member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Besides her family her love in life were her pets, both the dogs and cats.
Linda is survived by her brothers Steven Miller and Mark Miller both of Rhinelander, her niece Ashley Miller and her cousin Annette Lawrence. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael.
A memorial service for Linda will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Home with Reverend Karl Schultz officiating. Interment will be held in the Newbold Memorial Cemetery at a later date. You may leave your private condolences for Linda's family at www.carlsonfh.com.
