George Allen Reinicke, age 87, of Harshaw, died on December 23, 2012 at the Taylor Park in Rhinelander. He was born on May 28, 1925 in Wausau, WI to George and Estelle(Reuter)Reinicke. George attended schools in Wausau and after his high school he entered the US Navy. George honorably served his country in the South Pacific during WW II aboard the USS Monterey. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to the Wausau area and was employed by Kraft Foods for 35 years. George was in maintenance at Kraft and was a man of all trades who could fix everything and keep anything running. He moved to Harshaw in 1986 and occupied his spare time with a real love of his, trap and skeet shooting. George married Harriet Wachtl on September 6, 1948 and together they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. George is survived by his wife Harriet of Harshaw, his three daughters Peggy(Keith)Kroening of Wausau, WI, Lou Ann Reinicke of Schofield, WI and Christine(Terry)Tress of Harshaw, his son Russell(Diane)Reinicke of Harshaw, his fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by two sons James and Thomas, a brother Earl and two sisters Carol Keaough and Lucille Baumann. A memorial service for George will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Union Grove Cemetery.
