Ione P. Schoeneck, age 84 of Rhinelander, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Ministry St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on December 9, 1927, in Laona, Wisconsin to Verlin and Nellie (Collins) Starks. Ione is survived by her three children, Chip (Carol) Schoeneck of Rhinelander, Dolores Chesnut of Waupaca, WI, and Nell (Gene) Stoiber of Oconomowoc, WI; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three sisters, Bernice Payette of Saxon, WI, Vivian (Frank) Ory of Pelican Lake, and Nancy Pugh of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, August "Augie" Schoeneck on May 11, 1982; a sister, Joyce; and two brothers, Donald and Raymond. Funeral services for Ione will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Matthew Schoell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the Enterprise Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial has been established in Ione's name and contributions may be directed in care of her family.
