Peter M. Levknecht, age 58, of Rhinelander, passed away on April 25, 2012, at his home. He was born on February 22, 1954 to Richard and Vivian Levknecht. Pete graduated from the Rhinelander High School in 1972, and married his high school sweetheart, Donna Emmer in 1973. Pete enjoyed time with his granddaughters, shooting pool, fishing, hunting and fixing vintage Mercury boat motors. He is survived by his wife Donna, his daughter Kristi(Nic)Treder of Rhinelander, his son Brian Levknecht of LaCrosse, granddaughters Lily(Bug) and Mady(Giggles), his mother Vivian Levknecht of Rhinelander, his sister Susan(Bob)Morasch of Green Bay, his brothers Gary of Michigan and Rick(Beth) of California, nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his father Richard Levknecht. A visitation for Pete will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Pete's name and can be directed to his family.
