Marie Stryczek, age 88 of Rhinelander, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at her home. She was born on August 25, 1923. Marie was a resident of Horizons Unlimited for many years before moving to Scholzen Adult Family Home in 2005. She participated in programs at Headwaters and with the Special Olympics. Marie is survived by her care providers, John and Mary Scholzen, her longtime guardian, Geri Stefonik, and her roommate, Melinda Baker. She is further survived by caregivers, clients, and friends from Horizons, Headwaters, and Special Olympics. A graveside service for Marie will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012, at Nativity of Our Lord / St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery.
