Thelma M. Aschbrenner, age 73 of the Town of Sugar Camp, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at her home. She was born on August 13, 1938, in Ney, Ohio; one of six children born to Hollis and Cora (Miller) Breininger. Thelma worked as an operator for Bell Telephone Co. and for the Campbell Soup Company in Ohio in addition to raising her family of four daughters. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, fishing, and making wreaths at Christmas in earlier years. She will be greatly missed by all. Thelma is survived by three daughters, Wanda (Jeff) Jenkins of Rhinelander, Joyce Shepler of California, and Sally Shepler of Wausau; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Benjamin, and Nicholas Jenkins and Brian (Shelly), Laticia, Samuel, Christopher, and Timothy Shepler; three great grandchildren, Cayden, Jynessa, and Axel Shepler; and two brothers, Donald (Jean) Breininger and Lee Breininger both of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eric Aschbrenner; a daughter, Deborah Shepler; a granddaughter, Jennifer Jenkins; and three brothers, Merlin, Neil, and Kenneth. Funeral services for Thelma will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) with Rev. Kari Vadis officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northland Memorial Park. |
