Mabel Raasch, age 89, of Rhinelander, died on January 27, 2012, in Rhinelander,at the Taylor Park Nursing Home. Mabel was born on February 22, 1922 in Pearson, WI to Eugene and Helen(Timmers)Gauthier. After her schooling she lived in Milwaukee, Merrill, Gleason and then Rhinelander. Throughout her lifetime she held a couple of jobs and had at one time worked at the Claridge in Rhinelander. Mabel was a quiet lady who did enjoy camping and taking rides. She is survived by her two daughters Donna Mae Alsteen and Eunice Beatty both of Rhinelander, her five sons, James(Sharon)Shaver of Merrill, Charles Shaver of Gleason, Gerald(Josie)Shaver and Frank(Donna)Shaver and Boyd Breivogel Jr. all of Rhinelander, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Elroy, her two sons Buck and Jack, sisters and brothers. A memorial service for Mabel will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Carlson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 10:00 AM until just prior to the services, at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414/www.carlsonfh.com) is handling the arrangements for the Mabel's family.
