Marvin B. Hall was carried by God's hands to his eternal home on Sunday, February 7, 2010. Marvin was born on February 3, 1934, in Grand Rapids, MI to Merlin Benjamin and Lillian Mae(Blodgett)Hall. Marv married Donna J. Vandervoord on June 23, 1956, and together, they raised their family of three sons. He graduated from South High School in 1952 and then graduated in 1956 from Michigan State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Marv was employed in multiple positions from engineering to Vice President of Operations, with manufacturers in Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. Later in his career, Marv and his wife Donna owned and operated Vid Cord Services, Camera Corner in Schofield, WI., and Legal Video Services. In retirement, Marv and Donna were very active with the Learning in Retirement program at Nicolet College in Rhinelander, and were also very supportive of the Boy Scouts of America. He also enjoyed many hobbies including scuba diving, water-skiing, hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, shooting, woodworking, grilling, and tinkering on just about anything. Marv is survived by his wife, Donna Hall; three sons, Michael B. (Geralyn) Hall, Daniel (Lori) Hall, and Douglas (Ladonna) Hall; and seven grandchildren, Matthew, Peter, Jennifer, Pamela, Kathleen, Jacob, and Marcus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger brother, Sherwood. A memorial service for Marv will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Rhinelander with Rev. Dale Bishop officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. A memorial is being established in Marv's name and can be directed to his family.
