John Werner, age 81 of Rhinelander, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at his home. He was born on July 7, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois to Kaspar and Marie Werner. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a longtime employee of Marplex in Rhinelander. John is survived by his children, Mariann (Jeff) Van Ryen, Karen Werner, John (Pam) Werner, Ronald Werner, and Steve Werner and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary on August 31, 1997, and two brothers. Private family services were held with interment in Northland Memorial Park.
