Robert E. "Bob" Musson, age 83 of Rhinelander, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Taylor Park Nursing Home with his family by his side. He was born on July 22, 1926, in Visalia, CA to William and Olga (Johnson) Musson. Bob attended schools in Tomahawk, WI and Bensenville, IL before serving in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He married his wife and love of his life, Margaret Anderson on May 27, 1950. Bob was a former Rhinelander Firefighter, operated his own service station, and then was employed as a backhoe operator at Musson Brothers for many years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church where he served on the church council for several years. Bob valued time with his family and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and reading. He was a fan of many sports teams but especially enjoyed watching Green Bay Packer games. He was also a skilled craftsman and carpenter. Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret of Rhinelander; his three children, Debra (Jeff) Stefoneck of Melbourne, FL, Cindy (Tom) Kuehn of Rhinelander, and William (Cheryl) Musson of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Brian, Aaron, Kevin, Jaclyn, Jennifer, Diana, Celina, and Kristin; eleven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn (Tom) Nick of Dade City, FL and Shirley White of Bieber, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Howard. Memorial services for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Forest Home Cemetery. Bob's family would like to thank Dr. Frost, the staff of Taylor Park, and Ministry Hospice for the care extended to Bob. A memorial will be established in Bob's name for the benefit of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and contributions may be directed in care of his family. |
