Larry D. Foley, age 55 of Rhinelander, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at his home. He was born on December 10, 1953, in Rhinelander to Daniel and Marcella (Stein) Foley and raised by his mother and step father, Robert Lay. Larry graduated from Rhinelander High School and was employed at Rhinelander Paper Company for thirty years until Multiple Sclerosis caused his early retirement. Larry is survived by his mother, Marcella Stein of Rhinelander; his daughter, Christen Foley-Shepherd of Rhinelander; his son, Jason Foley of West Bend; a grandson, Ryan Daniel Foley; his care giver and close friend, Sukhe; a sister, Cheryl (Michael) Fish of Rhinelander; two brothers, Dennis (Val) Foley of Rhinelander and Robert (Vicki) Lay of Phoenix, AZ; a niece, Becky (Ken) Carter; and nephews, Jonathan (Jenny) Fish, Andrew Fish, Bradley (Ashley) Fish, Brett (Whitney) Foley, and Josh (Stephanie) Pudlowski. He was preceded in death by his fathers. Memorial services for Larry will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Carlson Funeral Home (369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. A memorial in honor of Larry has been established for the benefit of the Wisconsin Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and contributions can be directed in care of his family. |
