Elizabeth "Betty" Froehlich, age 75, of Rhinelander, died on October 22, 2009 at the Taylor Park in Rhinelander. Betty was born on December 7, 1933 in Rhinelander to George and Leona(Maloney)Johnson. She attended schools here graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1951. She married Bernard Froehlich on February 20, 1954 in Rhinelander. Betty was employed for the St. Mary's Hospital for many years. She began as a LPN and later became a ward clerk. Betty was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander. She enjoyed traveling but most of all she enjoyed the precious times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty is survived by her husband Bernard of Rhinelander, her three sons Mitchell(Ken)Froehlich of Houston, TX, Tom(Carolyn)Froehlich and James Froehlich of Rhinelander, her two daughters Marcy Froehlich of Chandler, AZ and Jeanne(Ralph)Lapp of Waukesha, WI, her eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her brother James(James)Johnson of Brooklyn, NY and other family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Joanne Plictha. Memorial services for Betty will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Carlson Funeral Home with Father John Gerritts officiating. There will be a visitation from 12:00 Noon until just prior to the services on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery.
