Beatrice "Bea" Macheichok, age 86 of Rhinelander, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Taylor Park Nursing Home. She was born on August 18, 1923, in Spencer, Wisconsin to Frederick and Emma (Kaulfuerst) Oelrich. Bea was born to a family of twelve children. She married Harry Macheichok on June 26, 1947, in Spencer. In addition to caring for her family, Bea was employed in many capacities; working for the school district, caring for Northland Memorial Park, and working in retail at Schultz's and Prange Way from the start to the closing of those stores in Rhinelander. She was a 40 year plus member of the Town of Pelican Election Board and was a life member of the Pelican Community Club. Bea was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. Bea is survived by her three children, Sandy Stein of Rhinelander, Steve (Rose) Macheichok of Rhinelander, and Stan (Pat) Macheichok of Mauston, WI; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Oelrich and Frieda Oelrich both of Spencer and Alice Johnson of Missoula, MT; three brothers, Roy Oelrich of Rhinelander, Arthur (Georgie) Oelrich of Unity, and Albert (Fanny) Oelrich of Spencer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry in 2007; one sister; and four brothers. Memorial services for Bea will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rebecca Niese officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the church. Inurnment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
