Carl L. Jensen Sr., age 67 of Pelican Lake, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. He was born on July 2, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI to Carl L. and Alice (Steinberg) Jensen. Carl married the former Madonna Schrauth on November 5, 1960, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Campbellsport. In September of 1970, they moved to Pelican Lake where he worked as a carpenter. Carl enjoyed all sports and especially liked spending time with his children and grandchildren. Carl is survived by his wife, Madonna of Pelican Lake; sevens sons, Carl Jr. (Debra) of Pelican Lake, David of Elcho, John (Robin) of Pelican Lake, Robert (Denise) of Post Lake, Thomas (Lori) of Menasha, Russell (Barb) of Appleton, and Daniel (Katie) of Rhinelander; a daughter, Michele Jensen of Plover; nine grandchildren, John Jensen Jr., Katie Jensen, Brian Novotny, Alex Jensen, Ashley Jensen, Brett Jensen, Abby Jensen, Hannah Jensen, and Wil Jensen; four step grandchildren, Nia Kalkofen and Amber, Heather, and Jacob LuMaye; two step great grandchildren, Abby and Madison Klemann; a brother, Richard (Patty) Jensen of Pelican Lake; and a sister, Marie Dillinger of Conover. He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Henry Dillinger; and an infant daughter, Debra Ann. Services for Carl have been held at St. John's Catholic Church in Pelican Lake with Father John Gerritts officiating. Carlson Funeral Home (369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) assisted Carl's family with arrangements.
