Donna Arndt, age 68 of Rhinelander, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at her home. She was born on January 9, 1941, in Rhinelander to Harold and Edith (Slindee) Stanley. Donna graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1959. Following her marriage to Kenneth Arndt, she raised her family of four children. She was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Rhinelander office until her retirement in 2003. Donna was a lifelong member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting and other needle work and most of all loved time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Donna is survived by her three daughters, Janeen (Ted) Larsen of Streamwood, IL, Melissa (Sean) Kearney of Milwaukee, WI, and Heather Siede of Rhinelander; her son, Mark (Maureen) Arndt of Oak Creek, WI; nine grandchildren, Chris, Megan, and Nick Larsen, Brad and Zach Siede, Ashley and Emma Arndt, and Kean and Nevan Kearney; and two sisters, Sandy McKenzie and Karen (Cliff) Zettler both of Rhinelander. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, James McKenzie. Funeral services for Donna will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Norman Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Carlson Funeral Home (369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Interment will be in Northland Memorial Park. |
