Ronald Lawonn, age 60, of the Town of Sugar Camp, died on May 29, 2009 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander. He was born on September 29, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI to Melvin and Georgia(Connor)Lawonn. He graduated from high school in 1966 and then served in the US Navy in Vietnam from 1968-1972. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to Milwaukee. Ron was employed in the printing industry for twenty years, most of those in Milwaukee, and then as a maintenance mechanic for St. Joseph's and Elmbrook Memorial Hospitals, which are in the Milwaukee area. He moved to Sugar Camp in July of 2002 and has lived there since. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and any handyman project. He is survived by his partner in life, Yvonne Slivka of Sugar Camp, his two sisters Sharon Stefanski of Milwaukee and Jan(George)Ehlers of Janesville, WI, his two brothers Richard(Jill)Lawonn and Gerald Lawonn both of Milwaukee and several nieces and nephews. Family services and interment for Ron will be held at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery in Brookfield, WI. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414/ www.carlsonfh.com) is handling the arrangements for the Lawonn family.
