Helen E. Scheeler, age 91 of Rhinelander, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Taylor Park Nursing Home. She was born on April 14, 1918, in Rhinelander to Edward and Meta (Armstrong) Schiller. Helen married Gerald Scheeler on January 1, 1939, in Rhinelander. She was a talented seamstress and was employed by DeByle's Clothing Store. In retirement, she had resided in Florida before returning to Rhinelander. Helen is survived by her son, Sandy (Cher) Scheeler of Rhinelander; her daughter, Sherry Rouse of Armstrong Creek, WI; a son-in-law, Gary Hurlbutt of Rhinelander; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald on June 23, 1997; a daughter, Marilyn Hurlbutt; two sisters; and three brothers. A memorial service for Helen will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Carlson Funeral Home with the Reverend Dale Bishop officiating. There will be time to visit with Helen's family from 10:00 AM until just prior to the services on Saturday, also at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow the services in the Northland Memorial Park Cemetery. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414/www.carlsonfh.com) is handling the arrangements for the Scheeler family.
