Edna Edwards, age 86 of Rhinelander, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Friendly Village Nursing Home. She was born on September 3, 1922, in LaPorte, Indiana to James and Gertrude Smith. Edna was employed as a nursing assistant at Taylor Park Nursing Home until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed baseball darts, horse shoes, and doing word find puzzles. Edna is survived by her daughter, Martha Koziol of Rhinelander, 11 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Edwards; a daughter, Sandra Wright; and a son, John Collins. A graveside service for Edna will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009, at the Newbold Cemetery with Rev. James Mickelson officiating. Please meet at the cemetery.
