Viola "Vi" C. Eternicka, age 94, of Rhinelander, died on May 12, 2009, in Rhinelander. She was born on September 13, 1914 in Bundy, WI to Michael and Amelia(Schoeneck)Guolee. She attended schools in the Bundy area and then had various employment over the years that included waitressing and housecleaning. She was led to marry Wilton Eternicka and they were lifelong residents of the Rhinelander area. Viola was also a lifelong member of the Nativity of Our Lord Parish. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved playing cards, especially with her family. All who knew Viola will remember her everpresent smile. She is survived by her two daughters Jeanne Quandt of Rhinelander and Patricia(Marvin)Moczynski of Oak Creek, WI, her son James(Gladys)Eternicka of Merrill, WI, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, her sister Ruth Ellis of Amery, WI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilton, her son Rodney, her sisters Martha, Kate and Ella, her brothers William, James, Michael and Elmer and two great grandsons. Visitation for Viola will be held from 10:30 AM - 12:00 Noon, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 12:00 Noon, at the Nativity of Our Lord Parish - St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday, May 15, 2009. Father John Gerrritts will officiate. Interment will follow in the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery.
