How does one describe the life you lead Clara Adeline Rouser Butterfield? It was filled with passion, a zest for life that began on the day you were born on November 22, 1919. You lived life. You gave life. You knew how to listen and how to pick yourself up when life threw you some punches. You were a gifted caretaker, listener, and an advocate for "If that's how they want to live their life, let them!" People could talk to you for hours as you sat there with your ankles crossed and hand folded one over the other. You imparted wisdom and joined in the tears. Whatever, wherever, whomever it was, you gave it all. Having felt you lived your life to the fullest, quietly and peacefully you ascended to Heaven on May 2, 2009, in Rhinelander with your family near you. You leave behind your children, Gary, Lila, and Windsong (Steve); eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. And so to honor the life you lead Clara Adeline Rouser Butterfield, your family and friends will come together to celebrate and remember you on Friday, May 8, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church with a memorial service lead by Rev. Norman Peterson. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. A luncheon will follow the service with a time for sharing. Inurnment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
