Virginia Weber, age 78, of Rhinelander went to be with our Lord on January 30, 2007. She was born on December 21, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Amos and Flora (Polpeka) St. Thomas. Virginia was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Bay View High School in 1947. She married Thomas W. Weber Sr. on April 10, 1948. In addition to raising her family, Virginia was employed at Jak-Pak in Milwaukee. She moved to Rhinelander in 1976 where she was employed at Twist Drill until her retirement. Virginia was an avid reader, especially of mysteries and thrillers. She also loved to crochet and produced many afghans that she shared with nursing home residents and veterans in the area. She will be deeply missed by her family. Virginia is survived by her six children, Warren (Diane) Weber of Albuquerque, NM, Richard and Thomas Jr. Weber both of Oswego, IL, and Bruce Weber, Nancy (David) Schanz, and Tracey (Ron) Ceplina all of Milwaukee. She is further survived by her eight grandchildren, Craig, Nicole, Jessica, Pamela, Amanda, Patrick, Megan, and Annie; two great grandchildren, Maria and Vito Calhoun; nieces and nephews; and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas on April 21, 1976; and her siblings, Florence Caloni and Loren St. Thomas. Memorial services for Virginia will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at the Carlson Funeral Home (369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) with Deacon Mike Harvey officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in the spring in Newbold Cemetery.
