Mary Keeler, age 91, of Rhinelander died Saturday, January 13, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on February 17, 1915, in Rhinelander to Eugene and Helen (Timmers) Gauthier. Mary married Ted Keeler and he preceded her in death many years ago leaving her to raise her family alone. Mary enjoyed cooking, crafts, puzzles, and watching her "soaps" on television. Mary is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Alsteen of Rhinelander and Barbara Swaim of Strum, WI; a granddaughter, Lori (Jack Kaufman) of Rhinelander; a great grandson, Michael Kaufman; and two sisters, Evelyn Lundberg and Mabel Raasch. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted; two sons, Gene and Melvin; an infant daughter, Gladys; two sisters, Alice Hisser and Dorothy Frederick; and two brothers, Frank and George Gauthier. Visitation for Mary will be held from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at the Carlson Funeral Home (369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) followed by a graveside service and interment at 11 a.m. at Forest Home Cemetery. |
