Laurel Juve, age 82, of Rhinelander died Monday, January 8, 2007, at Taylor Park Nursing Home. She was born on February 18, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Carl G. and Alice (Dolge) Hadrian. Laurel attended school in Milwaukee and moved to Rhinelander with her family in 1941. She was a longtime employee of Marplex and then was a home health care provider. She was a volunteer at the Rhinelander Animal Shelter and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary. Animals and the support of veterans were very important causes in Laurel's life. Laurel is survived by an aunt, Lou Meier; cousins including Audrey Evenrude; a step grandson, Steve (Barbara) Sweet; three step great grandchildren; and friends and caregivers, Jean and Dave Steicher. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Obert Juve; and a brother, Carl R. Hadrian. Private services will be held at a later date.
